3 dead in Ilocos, Quirino mishaps

THREE PERSONS have died in separate vehicular accidents in Ilocos Norte and Quirino.

Driver Fernando Pambid Jr. and his passenger Mark Darwin Salvador died at the scene after their van collided with a delivery truck in Badoc, Ilocos Norte at dawn on Monday.

Another van passenger, Roger Mamuad, and truck driver Jefferson Lacro and his helper Warlito Viloria, 20, were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Reports showed the van tried to overtake another vehicle and crashed into the truck.

Meanwhile, construction worker Buboy Agustin died when he was pinned under a truck that fell into a canal in Nagtipunan, Quirino Tuesday  .

Truck driver Gaspar Galicanao Jr. and his helper were taken to the Maddela District Hospital for treatment.

The truck allegedly developed engine trouble, causing its driver to lose control of the wheel. – Raymund Catindig
