Educational assistance launched in Benguet

LAS TRINIDAD, Benguet -- The Educational Assistance Program for Benguet was launched here Wednesday at the provincial capitol with special guest of honor and speaker Sec. Salvador E. Panelo.

Welcome remarks were given by Gov. Crescencio C. Pacalso, while Swiss entrepeneur Sandro Grandjean gave opening remarks.

Mayor Materno Luspian, president of the Mayors League of Benguet, gave an inspirational message while civic leader and businesswoman Remedios Bueno Coady did closing remarks.

The EAP which is in collaboration with the governor’s office of Benguet  and the Mayors League, benefits poor but deserving students of Benguet.

Certificates of scholarship grants to lucky recipients were presented during the launching program.

The Educational Assistance Program launch is sponsored by Microsoft Philippines and Swiss IT Academy, owned by Sandro Granjeans.

Swiss IT Academy is a Manila-based training center  for advanced IT studies, with the primary goal of producing quality programmers to provide quality service.

The Academy was inspired by CALCMENU Philippines, Inc. an established software company of over  20 years which produced a workforce of excellent programmers handling the development of advanced software and gaining trained skillsets used in various industries.

The courses of Swiss IT Academy have been carefully selected and grouped to exceed educational assistance both to students who can afford their education and to the less fortunate to finance their studies.

The key courses include Creative Web Design, Programming Courses and Swiss IT’s own Road Map Microsoft Pilot Courses.

“Our collaboration with the Educational Assistance Program of the Local Government Units (LGUs) will endeavor to reinforce the power to educate the less fortunate, and provide equal opportunities of employment,” Grandjeans said.
